The WineGangTO tasted this wine this week and were very impressed with its complexity and its back end. It is drinking really well right now. You really get the old world french and new world influences on this wine.  I highly recommend this wine.  I will also evolve with age.

All of their Mountainview wines are limited in production and vinified using the best fruit of a given vintage.
This Syrah is such an interesting varietal and fairly scarce in Niagara.  Our sole source of estate Syrah is a single block in the north west corner of our KEW Vineayrd.  As far as the taste profile goes it sits somewhere between Pinot Noir and Merlot.  The nose is a complex combination of plum, spice, leather and some black cherry.  The oak treatment includes more than 14 months in French oak giving the palate a spice and toasty note that makes this wine memorable.  
We enjoy pairing this wine with duck breast, lamb, pork or BBQ.
